It is amazing what is required by equine athletes to perform their jobs. In this session, Dr. Renate Weller will discuss how the what is asked of performance horses causes injuries. Rather than looking at the solutions in response to the offense, Weller advocates for being proactive and thinking fir of preventative care.

 

About Renate Weller:
Renate Weller is the dean, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Calgary. She is the former director of education at CVS, as well as a former professor at the Royal Veterinary College (RVC). She has studied comparative foot biomechanics and conformation’s effect on performance and injury risk.
