Arizona Farrier Miriam Stern Passes Away

Arizona farrier Miriam “Mimi” Stern passed away Sept. 7, 2018. She was 66. 

Stern graduated from the University of Wisconsin with a degree in Physical Education, and pursued many career interests after graduation. She worked as a farrier, a home handyperson and a caterer. She also enjoyed fine woodworking as a hobby.

In 1974, she moved to Tuscan, Ariz., where she became a supporter of the University of Arizona Women’s basketball team, the LGBT Youth Center, WomanKraft Center for the Arts and Antigone Books.
