Former Arizona Farrier Vern Miles Passes Away

Hereford, Ariz., farrier Vern Miles passed away from colon cancer on Oct. 12, 2018. He was 78.

After several decades of horseshoeing, Miles retired to Arizona after living in California for a decade or so. He was a member of the American Farrier’s Association (AFA) and shod Quarter Horses for American Quarter Horse Association (AQHA) shows and competitions. Miles retired from horseshoeing at age 73.
