Pennsylvania Farrier Howard Shaffer Passes Away

Elderton, Pa., farrier Howard Shaffer passed away Friday, Aug. 23, 2019. He was 80.
Shaffer, who served in the United States Army, worked as a self-employed farmer and farrier. He was a member of the American Farrier’s Association and the American Endurance Ride Conference. He enjoyed hunting and riding horses.
A celebration of life will be from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 28, 2019, at the Towne Hall, 11329 U.S. Rte. 422, Elderton, Pa. Inurnment will be in the Elderton Cemetery.
