Farriers Use Wide Variety of Horseshoes

Among yearly shoe usage, steel shoes make up 75% of the typical full-time farrier’s total use. Aluminum shoes account for 11%, 7% are glue-ons, 2% are synthetic shoes and handmade shoes account for 5% of total shoe needs.
