A gathering to remember legendary Martinsville, Va., farrier Danny Ward will be held Saturday, April 28, 2018 in Horsepasture, Va.

Ward, a member of the International Horseshoeing Hall Of Fame and owner and operator of Danny Ward Horseshoeing School, passed away Thursday, March 22, 2018.

Those interested in celebrating Ward are invited to stop by or stay late to share tributes and stories and partake in food, a bar and each other’s company.

The memorial will begin at 3 p.m. at the Horsepasture Volunteer Fire Department, 17815 A L Philpott Hwy. (State Hwy. 58), Ridgeway, Va. The Quality/Dutch Inn in Martinsville, Va., is recommended for traveling guests.
