Canfield, Ohio, farrier Michael Razo passed away Monday, April 9, 2018. He was 61.

Razo loved horses and worked as a farrier for over 40 years. He attended a farriery school in Memphis, Tenn., in 1977, 2 years after graduation from high school. He also worked at the Mahoning Valley Racetrack and the Mountaineer Racetrack.

Visitation will be held on April 13 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes in the Boardman-Canfield Chapel, 3701 Starr’s Centre Drive, Canfield, OH 44406. A funeral service will take place on April 14 at 10:00 a.m. in the same location. 

A television tribute will air on April 12 at the following times: 6:41 a.m. WYTV, 8:41 a.m. MyYTV and 9:58 a.m. on FOX, plus two additional spots throughout the day.
