The holistic company Treatibles has just launched a full spectrum hemp oil designed specifically for horses. In addition to hemp oil, the formula also includes peppermint oil and medium-chain triglycerides (MCT) coconut oil. The oil comes in a 1500 mg bottle and is designed for use in animals over 250 lbs., with 1 ml given per 250lbs.
“Horse guardians spoke. And we listened,” says Julianna Carella, founder and chief executive officer (CEO) of Treatibles. “They spoke of common challenges horses face, from rehabilitation to skin issues to stress. Most were seeking more effective, natural approaches to provide their equine friends calm, ease and balance. So, we developed a high potency formula with both internal and external applications.”
The full spectrum hemp oil does indeed treat various ailments inside and out. It is great for pre- and post-surgery since one of its effects addresses swelling related to inflammation. In rehabilitation, hemp oil can ease the discomfort of stall rest and reduce anxiety for better recovery. Almost any stressful situation can be minimized through the use of hemp oil, including farrier visits, trailering, training and more. It has also been proven to encourage an appetite in horses that are listless or not interested in their grain.
The combination of full-spectrum hemp oil, peppermint oil and coconut oil creates the perfect harmony for helping pleasure horses and athletes perform at their best, according to Heather Wallace, a certified equine sports massage therapist and author of Confessions of a Timid Rider.
“I'm so excited to have a new product from Treatibles on the market designed to holistically and naturally support the inflammatory response and benefit horses both internally and topically,” says Wallace. “The fact they are combining three of my favorite oils for horses makes it that much better.”
