Rose Creek, Minn., farrier Danny Patrick Rasmussen passed away March 10, 2019. He was 72.

After serving a tour in Vietnam, Rasmussen came home to farm with his dad. In 1969, he started his own farm and later attended college in Oklahoma to study farrier science. Rasmussen trained horses and logged with horses throughout his time. He worked as a farrier and trimmed cattle until the summer of 2017. He and his wife enjoyed taking the horses camping and on trail rides. Rasmussen was chapter president of “Cowboys for Christ” as well. 

Visitation will be at 4 p.m. Thursday, March 14, at Adams Funeral Home, 300 W. Main St. in Adams, Minn. A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, March 15, at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 65033 220th St., Elkton, Minn. Interment will occur at a later date.

Memorials can be made in memory of Rasmussen to Disabled American Veterans (DAV), American Cancer Society or donor’s choice.
