Thornville, Ohio, farrier John L. Walker passed away April 6, 2019. He was 64. 

Walker attended farrier school in Oklahoma before returning to his home state of Ohio to practice his trade for over 40 years. In addition, he also loved team roping in which he shared with his father, daughter and many close friends.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday, April 10 at 7:00 p.m. at the Thornville Chapel of Hoskinson Funeral and Cremation Service at 56 South Main Street in Thornsville. Friends may call prior to the service from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital and Solove Research Institute here.
