Joseph Serafini Sr., the owner and operator of Castle Plastics in Leominster, Mass., has passed away. He was 84.
Serafini is a 1957 graduate of St. Anslem College, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration. He was an active member of St. Anna’s Parish, where he was a long-time lector and Eucharistic minister. He also was head of the Men’s Group for many years. Serafini was involved with several charitable and social organizations including the Leominister Knights of Columbus, Our Father’s House and served on the Board of Directors at Leominister Credit Union.
Serafini was the owner and operator of Castle Plastics for his entire career. The company will celebrate 100 years of family ownership in 2020. He was a member of the Farrier Industry Association.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, July 11, 2019 at Wright-Roy Funeral Home in Leominster. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m., Friday, July 12, 2019, at St. Anna’s Church in Leominster. Burial will follow in St. Leo’s Cemetery.
