Claremore, Okla., farrier Arthur Phillip Munger passed away Sunday, Oct. 27, 2019. He was 72.

Munger loved horses while growing up. His love for animals led him to obtain a degree in animal science from Kansas State University. After college, he spent time working with his father on the family farm. He later spent 3 years training and shoeing horses. 

Through various careers, Munger always continued shoeing horses on the side. He eventually took on shoeing as a full-time business and taught the craft to his three sons in the process.  

Services were conducted Thursday, Oct. 31, 2019, at Central Baptist Church in Owasso.
