Three up-and-coming farriers were honored for early career success at the 2020 International Hoof-Care Summit in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Ben Barhorst of Lexington, Ky.; Audrey Williams of Edmonton, Alberta; and Gary Gullo Jr. of Old Brooksville, N.Y., were named 2019 Rising Shoeing Stars.

It’s not too early to begin thinking about nominees for next year’s Rising Shoeing Star. The process is simple:

1. Make sure this candidate graduated from a shoeing school in 2017.
2. Write a 2- to 3-page summary explaining why your candidate should be named a Rising Shoeing Star.

Along with five leading farrier industry suppliers, this recognition program promotes the importance of further footcare education, while encouraging young shoers to success in their careers.
