World Championship Blacksmiths (WCB) began its 2020 season of forging competitions June 17-20 in Edgewood, N.M. The season opener comes a little less than 2 months after the original opening contest in Madison, Wis., was scheduled, but ultimately canceled in the interest of public safety as a result of COVID-19.
Chris Madrid, Santa Fe, N.M., was the Overall Champion at the 2020 Roadrunner Classic, according to a post on the WCB Facebook page. In addition to his Liberty Live Shoeing win, Madrid won for Best Shod Foot.
