As the uncertainty of the COVID-19 pandemic persists, the American Farrier’s Association (AFA) is changing the date of its 2021 convention.
The AFA announced in an email that the 50th annual convention will be changed from its March date to Nov. 8-12, 2021. The site will remain in Albuquerque, N.M.
“Over the last several weeks, it has been brought to our attention that there is some concern about travel and event restrictions that could be in place before and during our 50th anniversary annual convention in March 2021,” according to an email attributed to Martha Jones, executive director of the AFA and the Farrier Industry Association. “It is our hope that these dates will allow more people to attend, separate our convention from other industry events and competitions, and especially give our event some ‘space’ and distance from the COVID pandemic.”
Jones encourages questions about the move be sent to mjones@americanfarriers.org or any AFA director in your region.
