Union Bridge, M.D., farrier Mike Poe, was the winner of the World Championship Blacksmiths (WCB) competition July 31-Aug. 2 in Fitchburg, Wis. The event marked the second phase of the five-phase contest, and had been rescheduled due to COVID-19 concerns.
Stanley, N.M., farrier Chris Madrid, won the Liberty Live Shoeing challenge for the second time this season. A total of 72 competitors representing 28 states participated in the contest.
