Sterling, Colo., farrier Scott White passed away Saturday, Oct. 31, 2020. He was 58.
After graduating high school, White attended Oklahoma Horseshoeing School in Purcell, Okla., and Oklahoma Panhandle State University. He worked on the Collins Ranch in 1985-86, and then the Colorado Interstate Gas Company for 14 years. White made his career as a farrier/horseshoer for 40 years. He also trained horses throughout his lifetime. He was a tractor sales representative from 2004-07, a real estate broker for Rocking X Land from 2007-15, and worked for Colorado Farm Bureau Insurance Co. beginning in 2015 until his death.
White was on the KC Electric Board, a member of the Lions Club, and was also involved in the Colorado Farm Bureau Board. He enjoyed rodeo, team roping, hunting, boating, fishing, and reading his Bible, but his greatest joy came from being with his family.
A private family service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 7, 2020. A live stream of the service will be on Facebook and YouTube.
