Bolivar, Mo., farrier Bob Fortner passed away Tuesday, Nov. 10, 2020. He was 87.

Fortner was a dedicated firefighter, having served for 40 years. He made it to captain before retiring.

Although he was a devoted firefighter, his great passion was horses. Fortner spent a lot of his time as a farrier. He was very passionate about his horses and they were his claim to fame.

Funeral services were Saturday, Nov. 14 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Bolivar, Mo.

Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
