3 Ask you how much you charge for a set of shoes.

4 Complain about horse trainers.

5 Ask you what vehicle you drive.

6 Carry long-term aches and pains, but don’t complain.

7 Work hard.

8 Have a genuine love of horses.

9 Give generously of their time for interested people.

10 Have their own pet theory on treating laminitis.

Part-Timer Farriers Believe in Higher Education

Some 76% of part-time farriers have continued their education beyond high school.

This includes 36% who have earned a 2-year associate degree while 22% have a bachelor’s degree and 41% have earned both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree.
