Perrysville, Ohio, farrier Alfred R. Fowler Jr. died Saturday, January 16, 2021. He was 82.

Fowler was a member of the Mount Zion Lutheran Church in Lucas, Ohio, and the Lucas Community Food Pantry. He was a United States veteran of the Navy and Marines.

He was an artist and inventor with his iron working abilities. His interest included fishing, reading, gardening, rose-gardening and blacksmithing. He spent 30 years of his life as a farrier and blacksmith.

In lieu of flowers his family asks for all donations to go to Mount Zion Lutheran Church or the Lucas Community Food Pantry.

A celebration of Life will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 21, 2021, at the Mt. Zion Lutheran Church, 4065 Mount Zion Road, Lucas, Ohio 44843.
