Insurance Coverage Becoming More Critical
When it comes to health insurance, the increased cost and being caught without needed coverage is a major concern among some farriers. Some 88% of full-time farriers are covered with medical and health insurance, along with 39% who have dental coverage. Some 34% carry disability insurance and 57% have one or more life insurance policies. But when it comes to protecting their footcare business against lawsuits due to malpractice claims, only 50% carry liability insurance.
