Frankfort, Ky., farrier Scott Kimbel Jr. passed away April 6, 2021. He was 74.
Kimbel graduated from Centre College in Danville, Ky., with a Bachelor of Science degree. He became a well-respected professional farrier, specializing in the care of Thoroughbred foals. He shared his expertise as a speaker at the International Hoof-Care Summit. Some of his favorite activities were horseback riding, fly fishing and playing the guitar. He carried and was admired for his deep spiritual wisdom.
A service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 17, 2021, at Church of the Ascension in Frankfort. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to Church of the Ascension or Bluegrass Hospice Care.
