A heart-bar horseshoe is a common solution for when the condition calls for frog support, such as laminitis or quarter cracks.

Texas farrier and TPFA member Tommy Boudreau demonstrated this in his home shop located in Mineral Wells, Texas. He used a St. Croix Eventer with the frog plate. Boudreau uses the shoe with the cutting horses he works with.
