James Cox, co-owner of Texas Farrier Supply, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 18, 2021, according to the Kennedale, Texas-based business.
Cox was hospitalized in early August for COVID-19 and pneumonia. He suffered a stroke and passed away Wednesday afternoon.
“James was the type of person that if you spent much time around him, he made you feel like you were family,” Evan Milne wrote in a Texas Farrier Supply Facebook post. “I honestly don’t think James thought of anyone as a customer. You were all friends and family to him who he would do just about anything for. The store will never be the same without James, but we will forge on in honor of him and do our best to make him proud.”
A celebration of life will be from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 12 at Reds Roadhouse, 1170 E. Kennedale Pkwy., Kennedale, TX 76060. In lieu of flowers, please donate to one of his favorite charities: Texas Professional Farrier’s Association Injured Farrier’s Fund; contact via email: txprofarrierassn@gmail.com or Doberman Rescue of North Texas, contact by mail at 2021 Rock Creek Dr., Grand Prairie, TX 75050-2237.
