Tom Stiefel, a long-time farrier and founder of Alvin Farrier Supply in Alvin, Texas, passed away Aug. 20, 2021, after a long battle with rheumatoid arthritis, according to a Facebook post by Alvin Farrier Supply.

“We are all in peace now knowing that Tom is no longer suffering and in the hands of our Lord,” according to the announcement.

A memorial service is planned for a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations in Stiefel’s name to the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America with a reply to alvinfarriersupply@yahoo.com.
