Grass Lake, Mich., farrier Walter “Bud” Cross Jr. passed away at home December 23, 2021. He was 81.

Cross graduated from Michigan Center High School in 1960. He retired from Ford Motor Co. after 31 years of service. He was a farrier for more than 60 years and enjoyed hay baling on his farm in Grass Lake.

A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 9, 2022, at the Watson Funeral Chapel in Jackson. The family will receive friends from 12 p.m. until the time of the service.
