New Castle, Pa., farrier Jack Weigle passed away Monday, Dec. 13, 2021, according to a Facebook post by the Mid-Eastern Farrier’s Association.

Weigle was a founding member and organizer of the Western Chapter of the Pennsylvania Guild of Professional Farriers, which became the Mid-Eastern Farrier’s Association. He was generous with his time and knowledge in educating his colleagues.

“His common sense approach to life was always an inspiration to me and there was nothing that Jack wouldn’t tackle in shoeing,” says Randy Luikart, an International Horseshoeing Hall of Fame member from Ashland, Ohio.
