Port Angeles, Wash., farrier Bob Holman passed away Jan. 30, 2022.
After graduation, Holman joined the Navy for 4 years. He worked for Angeles Sand and Gravel for more than 30 years and then for the Humane Society. He loved cats, dogs and horses and rode all his life.
He was a prolific farrier. After shoeing for most of his life, he went to farrier school in California where he graduated top of his class. While out shoeing, he never turned down a piece of pie, coffee and a great conversation with fellow horse lovers. He was a member of the Saddle Club and enjoyed riding with every member, he considered all his friends. He enjoyed hunting, camping and fishing. His most proud accomplishment is a log cabin he built for him and his grandkids. He loved his three girls and always said if he had boys, he wouldn’t have had anyone to ride with.
Services will be at a later date.
