Churchville, Md., farrier George R. Coyle passed away Feb. 19, 2022, at the University of Maryland Upper Chesapeake Medical Center. He was 80.
Coyle was a farrier by trade, but his true love was training racehorses. He traveled all over the country to care for and to race horses. He could always be found in the barn or at the racetrack. He will be remembered as one of the “last great horsemen” of his time. As we grieve the loss of our dear friend, always remember his favorite saying, “It’ll work out like a good thing.”
A celebration of his life will be at a later date. Messages of condolences or memories to share may be made at Zellman Funeral Home.
