David C. Ellis, of Manhattan, Kan. formerly of Salina, Kan., passed away, July 18, 2022. He was 79.

Ellis was born April 6, 1943 in Guthrie, Oklahoma, to Roy M. and Lorene G. (Williams) Ellis. Ellis was a cowboy all his life; he rode bulls and broncs in rodeos and raised cattle, and he was a horse trainer and farrier. He was a member of American Farrier Association and American Legion.

He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, Glenna Sue Ellis; and sisters, Delores Cole and Francis Corbin.

He is survived by his daughter, Constance R. Ellis, of Manhattan, Kan.

Graveside services were held at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 21, in Greenville Cemetery, 250th Rd Niles, Kan. 67480.
