Jonesborough, Tenn., farrier Charles Arrowood passed away Feb. 9, 2023. He was 69.

After graduating in 1972 from David Crockett High School, Arrowood made a living as a welder until becoming a full-time trainer and farrier of American Saddlebreds in 1988. His talent for both earned the respect of his clients and colleagues. He loved dogs, the outdoors, and teasing someone in fun.

A memorial service will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 14, 2023, at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. before the service.
