Welcome to the first edition of the monthly Summit Countdown newsletter. This newsletter was created to bring you exhibitor updates, the latest news, speaker and agenda updates, and exciting glimpses into area attractions and restaurants that Kansas City has to offer.
The 22nd annual International Hoof-Care Summit (IHCS) will be January 21-24, 2025 in Kansas City, Missouri! The new Kansas City (KC) location is necessary due to its previous site, Cincinnati’s Duke Energy Center, closing while undergoing a 2-year renovation project beginning next year.
Why Kansas City? During the site selection process last year, our team surveyed past Summit attendees and American Farriers Journal subscribers. Out of 9 locations in consideration, Kansas City was a top-rated location!
In my 18 years working with American Farriers Journal, I can't express how thrilling it is to have IHCS hosted in a new city! The overall reaction to the new location when talking with returning exhibitors has been a positive and welcomed one.
As the Summit continues in it's third decade, our goal is to continue to help hoof-care professionals expand their education through the 4-day focused program featuring general sessions, classroom sessions, roundtable sessions, "how-to" hoof-care product knowledge clinics and the trade show. We are also planning to incorporate the well-received NEW wet lab sessions from last year, too! Promising to deliver hours upon hours of field-tested footcare ideas gleaned from successful farriers, equine veterinarians and hoof researchers from around the world.
