California farrier Kevin Boyer passed away on April 10, 2024. He was 67.

Boyer graduated from the Farrier Certificate Course at Oregon State University in 1977 and was a farrier for 40 years. He was an active member of American Farrier's Association, San Diego County Farriers Association and the Artist-Blacksmith Association of North America. He also wrote articles for several horse-related newsletters and served as the editor for the San Diego County Farriers Association newsletter.
