I’ve been involved in the development and planning of every Summit in its 22-year history and 2025 is no different. As someone deeply entrenched in the hoof-care industry for the past 3 decades and the founder of the International Hoof-Care Summit (IHCS), our commitment to providing top-notch educational opportunities, networking avenues, and access to cutting-edge technologies and techniques sets IHCS apart as the premier gathering for hoof-care professionals worldwide.
Kansas City Here We Come
Join us in Kansas City (KC) in 2025 at the world's most educational equine footcare event, endorsed by top industry professionals. As previously stated, due to the Duke Energy Center in Cincinnati closing for remodeling for the next 2 years, we’re headed to KC in 2025! We know you’re going to love KC because it was one of the top-rated destinations in a recent survey to past IHCS attendees and active hoof-care professionals.
For the first time ever, you will experience all the Summit sessions and Trade Show under one roof at the Sheraton Kansas City Hotel at Crown Center. You’ll still get 9.5 uninterrupted hours to walk the trade show floor, watch product demos and talk to sellers and manufacturers. 2025 booth sales are up 30% with three brand-new exhibitors recently signing on. This means there will be more hoof-care choices available to add to your practice with the experts there to answer all your questions. You and fellow attendees will benefit from a short 2–3-minute walk to the Trade Show from where the general sessions, classrooms and roundtables will be held.
With a central location, the Sheraton Kansas City Hotel is attached directly to Crown Center, which is a shopping and entertainment district placing attendees right in the action.
Crown Center is home to events throughout the year that are great for the whole family, including ethnic festivals, outdoor movies and live music. LEGOLAND® Discovery Center and SEA LIFE Aquarium are located on the square. During the winter, you can even try out your ice-skating skills at the Crown Center Ice Terrace — the downtown's public outdoor skating rink.
KC also offers popular downtown attractions just a short ride away such as Union Station, the vibrant Power & Light District and the National WW 1 Museum and Memorial.
I am excited to invite you to the 22nd International Hoof-Care Summit, January 21-24, in Kansas City. This event has been pivotal in shaping the industry's standards and practices for more than 2 decades, and 2025 promises to be the most exceptional yet.

University of Kansas Museum of Natural History Private Tour
|
The International Hoof-Care Summit is proud to be teaming up with the University of Kansas Museum of Natural History for an exclusive, behind-the-scenes opportunity.
Dr. Jocelyn Colella, the museum’s curator, and Dr. Deb Bennett, of the Equine Studies Institute, will lead a private behind-the-scenes guided tour of the University of Kansas Museum of Natural History’s Mammals Division. Attendance is open to registered attendees with limited spots available.
The exclusive tour offers an up-close view of the skeleton of America’s first equine celebrity — Ethan Allen. The handsome liver bay Morgan trotter had an 18-season racing career, among the longest in history. Attendees also will see the Comanche exhibit, dedicated to one of the few survivors of Custer’s Last Stand at the Battle of Little Big Horn. L.L. Duche and C. Saunders, the early museum scientists, meticulously prepared Comanche’s body for exhibit. The horse underwent restoration in 2005 and remains in a low-light, temperature-controlled environment for its protection.
The private tour also includes various examples of equine hoof and bone pathologies in the extensive Mammals Division, skeletons of other equids, such as African zebras, and skeletons of animals closely related to horses, such as rhinos.
The $50 admission is open to a limited number of attendees and exclusively available Summit attendees. The $50 admission is open to a limited number of Summit attendees and exclusively available Summit attendees. The private tour is scheduled the day after the International Hoof-Care Summit on Saturday, January 25, 2025.
