Bob Mederos

I first met Bob Mederos in 1993 with a horse that was so sore he appeared to have laminitis. I was a new horse owner and had just had him shod. I took him to my equine vet who looked at his feet and said, “You need to get your horse shod.” I replied I just did 1 week ago. The vet put me together with Bob and my education began. I am so thankful for his education and skill and for taking the time to educate me. He saved my old retired show horse and my young show mare who both had laminitis, one from metabolic issues and one from steroid use. Bob was always the very best and such a wonderful mentor. He has touched and changed so many lives through his work. Bob has retired but worked until he was 78 years old and even came out of retirement to help his son Rob Mederos when he was injured in a motorcycle accident. Bob is a legend in his field and deserves recognition for all his sacrifices to the field.
