Stephen Teichman is a retired farrier based in Unionville, Pa. He was a farrier for 45 years, including many years as a farrier for the United States Equestrian Team. This research was conducted as part of the Royal Veterinary College’s Equine Locomotor Research program for farriers.

Teichman will also be presenting the sessions "Keeping Elite Athletes in the Show Ring," and "Shoeing the Sport Horse" at the 2025 International Hoof-Care Summit.
