Blane Chapman runs his hoof-care practice out of Vernon, Texas. He started shoeing his first horses in high school, and earned a AA degree from Howard County Junior College, a B.A. in Rangeland Ecology and Management from Texas A & M, and a Master's in Agriculture from Sul Ross College. Blane's father, Burney Chapman, was a world-renowned farrier who pioneered the now standard treatment for founder laminitis, and his groundbreaking work and legacy is part of the education Blane continues to instill today.

Chapman will also be presenting the session "Forging a Successful Farrier Practice from the Ground Up," at the 2025 International Hoof-Care Summit.
