Texas farrier Clarence Henry “Hank” McPherson passed away Oct. 24, 2024. He was 81.

After high school, McPherson entered the oilfield industry doing seismograph surveying before moving to California. There, he worked at a Thoroughbred Stud Farm where he learned the art of horseshoeing. He continued shoeing back in the Texas panhandle for many years.

McPherson was a people person and a jokester with a quick wit. He was also passionate about music and played in multiple bands. He leaves behind many family and friends.
