I’ve been involved in the development and planning of every Summit in its 22-year history, and 2025 is no different. I hope you’ll join us as an exhibitor this January 21-24, 2025, in Kansas City, Mo., at this year’s Summit, which will feature a variety of sessions aimed at addressing the most critical challenges faced by hoof-care professionals today. Here's just a few of the speakers and their topics to be covered:
|
-
Dr. Deb Bennett will outline simple, yet effective, field techniques for assessing forelimb and hindlimb conformation as well as sharing how to improve a horse's calmness and level of obedience — and how to teach this to clients
-
Blane Chapman will share essential techniques for moving feet back, as well as dressing the hoof wall, how to avoid over-dressing and other essential footcare considerations
-
Dr. Jenny Hagen will discuss how lameness affects the distal limb and will examine chronic pain syndrome, identifying behavioral and physical signs and the options for pain management
-
Chris Gregory will share strategies for improving the health and performance of the hind limb, the appropriate uses for the patten bar shoe and why you need to include it in your toolbox
-
Paige Poss will lead a highly anticipated 2-hour dissection wet lab
-
Steve Teichman will explain situations when he used the heart bar shoe, why its importance endures and how he applies this revolutionary appliance
-
Dr. Kristy Lesniak, a senior lecturer at Hartpury University, will share her research on skeletal asymmetry and how it affects the equine hoof as well as her research finding on how much hoof damage can occur in a short time and how to educate your clients about the importance of regular hoof-care intervals
|
As someone deeply entrenched in the hoof-care industry for the past 3 decades and the founder of the International Hoof-Care Summit (IHCS), I know that our commitment to providing top-notch educational opportunities, networking avenues and access to cutting-edge technologies and techniques sets IHCS apart as the premier, unrivaled gathering for hoof-care professionals worldwide.
