Equestrian publisher, Trafalgar Square Books, has been acquired by The Stable Book Group. Trafalgar Square has published books such as Horse Brain, Human Brain: The Neuroscience of Horsemanship by Janet L. Jones PhD and Shoeing the Modern Horse by Hall of Fame farrier Steve Kraus and Katie Navarra, which includes several photographs by current and former American Farriers Journal staff members Jeff Cota, Lewis Horn and Jeremy McGovern.
Trafalgar Square Books remains an independent publisher within The Stable Book Group. Martha Cook, formerly managing director, will stay on as publisher following founding publisher Caroline Robbins’ retirement. Long-time managing editor Rebecca Didier is seeing the company through its transition.
The team at The Stable Book Group includes chief executive officer Chris Gruener, president Keith Riegert and chief operating officer Brooke Warner. It also houses a group of established independent publishers: Ulysses Press, VeloPress and She Writes Press.
Over 400 titles have been published since Trafalgar Square’s first in 1985. It publishes books from professionals across the equine world, including riders, trainers, behaviorists, veterinarians, therapists and farriers. It continues to invite unsolicited book proposals and manuscripts on topics of equestrian interest. Visit TrafalgarBooks.com for submission guidelines.
