On February 10, 2025, President Donald Trump announced 25% tariffs on steel and aluminum to take effect March 12, 2025. This includes “Melt and Pour” and “Smelt and Cast” standards, which aim to prevent countries from finishing materials in Canada or Mexico to avoid tariffs. Read more about these tariffs here.
