Farrier Product Distribution, Inc. (FPD), located in Shelbyville, Ky., has announced that an office and warehouse expansion is currently under way.  With the addition of 5,000 square feet of warehouse space, the operation will grow in size to a total of 35,000 square feet.

As part of this expansion, 750 square feet will be added to office space for sales and customer service staff. This will include additional offices, meeting space and common areas. FPD officials say the expansion is part of an overall focus on elevating customer service levels and operating efficiencies.

"The continued growth in market share for our key lines such as Kerckhaert Horseshoes, Vector and Liberty nails and other products designed for the professional farrier is driving the need for this expansion," said Dan Burke, president of FPD. "We are pleased to see market share growth include all disciplines — racing, riding and pleasure — and look forward to continuing this pattern with the support of our dealer network and the professional farriers in our industry."

The project is expected to be completed in December 2011.
