W. F. Young Inc., the manufactures of Absorbine and Equine America horse-care products, recently purchased Magic Cushion hoof packing.

Developed and marketed by equine veterinarian Ron Riegel, Magic Cushion hoof packing is used to reduce pain, concussion and trauma within the tissues of the hoof.

Referring to the acquisition, Jaime McKinley, vice president of marketing and new product development at Absorbine, states, “The Absorbine brand name has long stood for quality, and we are very conscious of preserving that reputation in the products we bring to the market. Given the intense levels of research Dr. Riegel undertook when developing Magic Cushion, and its scientifically proven results, we believe this is a great addition to our hoof-care lineup — worthy of the Absorbine name. We will integrate the product into our Hooflex family, so it will be Hooflex Magic Cushion.”
