Animal owners have been using Cut-Heal products for decades to treat wounds and other health-related issues. Now, the Texas-based brand is part of Manna Pro Products, LLC., a leader in animal health and nutrition products. The acquisition took effect on Nov. 22.
“Our acquisition of Cut-Heal Animal Products really adds to our portfolio of offerings for equine, canine and other markets, and we’re looking forward to bringing these quality products to our customers,” said John Howe, president of Manna Pro. “Manna Pro is about effective solutions for animal health care that deliver good value for their owners, and we found that Cut-Heal has a similar philosophy. Cut-Heal is a great fit for us.”
The Cut-Heal line of products, best known among horse owners, includes the following offerings: Multi+Care wound care spray and ointment; Hoof Heal, a brush-on dressing that helps prevent brittle, cracked hooves and heels; Zonk-It! insect control ; and Bug Check, a feed supplement that helps deter biting flies and discourages insect breeding in manure. While the majority of the products are for equine care, many are also effective for dogs and other animals. In addition to the acquisition of the Cut-Heal portfolio of products, this newly formed partnership also includes an exclusive distribution in the North American ag/feed/equine/pet markets for the new "Performance Support DEEP FREEZE™" family of products. DEEP FREEZE is a topical analgesic for pain and swelling, ideal for competitive horses and dogs, as well as for human use. John McCready, long-time owner and CEO of Cut-Heal, said the time is right for transferring ownership of his product lines to Manna Pro. “I feel confident that Manna Pro will do a great job continuing the legacy of these products that so many animal lovers trust. And, it’s exciting to know that because of Manna Pro’s extensive distribution network nationwide, these great products will be available to a much larger audience of animal owners,” he said.
