A day after taking a tumble near Central Park, Spartacus the horse was looking as good as new.
The 15-year-old draft horse didn’t suffer a scratch in the Wednesday mishap on E. 59th St. at Fifth Ave.
“The horse is moving freely at all gaits with no signs of lameness,” reads a report from veterinarian Dennis Farrell, who examined Spartacus after the incident and determined that the horse could return to work Friday.
“At this time, the above mentioned horse is free of any evident problems.”
Carriage drivers and animal rights activists offered different takes on what prompted Spartacus to go to ground about 4:20 p.m.
