Just as the smell of coal smoke in the air brings back memories of farrier events of the far past, the chatter of conversation sprinkled with words such as bad quarters, underrun heels and white line disease brings back more recent memories. This was the case in the lobby of the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Cincinnati during the first week in February. With 65 sessions vying for your time, the International Hoof-Care Summit was back in town, better than ever.
Because of the many lectures I have attended over the years, most of the information presented was not new to me in the WOW sense. But every so often a new little gem would be found just waiting to be mined.
I have a good memory, but it is not a long one, so the opportunity for relearning important old information was appreciated.
Because some lectures took place at the same time, this is not a complete list of the highlights but only the ones I was able to attend. I was also able to recruit some friends who shared their WOW moments with me. So if you were unable to attend, here are some of the things you missed.
