American Farriers Journal is the “hands-on” magazine for professional farriers, equine veterinarians and horse care product and service buyers.
Farriers often face more than just doctor bills and physical pain after falling ill or getting hurt. Financial hardships can devastate a family and a business because of lost time.
Life Data Labs has teamed up with the American and Canadian Associations of Professional Farriers (AAPF/CAPF) to help provide short-term assistance for members who are unable to work because of illness or injury.
“Since launching our company, we have enjoyed a very positive working relationship with the farrier industry,” says Linda Gravlee, president of Life Data Labs. “The creation of this sponsorship with the AAPF/CAPF will allow our company to give back to the farrier industry.”
When an ill or injured farrier comes to the attention of the AAPF/CAPF Farrier Assistance Committee, members will meet to discuss the situation and develop a customized answer for his or her needs. There are a number of ways that fellow AAPF/CAPF members can help, including direct financial support to help pay ongoing expenses, providing farrier services for the horses that are under the care of the ill or injured farrier, as well as other customized options.
