Steve Bloom, 70, president of Grand Circuit Products LLC in Louisville, Ky., passed away Sunday afternoon.
“It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our founder and president, Steve Bloom,” according to a statement by Grand Circuit on its Facebook page. “Steve’s kindness, eagerness to help, and genuine passion for our industry will be greatly missed. We here at Grand Circuit Products are committed to honoring Steve’s memory by continuing our tradition of quality and innovative products for farriers and our friend, the horse.”
A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 24, at Trinity Presbyterian Church, 10200 Shelbyville Road, Louisville, Ky. 40223.

Bloom is survived by his wife, Janet (Douglas) Bloom; children, Rachael B. Dalfonzo (Eric) of Jackson, N.J., Sarah E. Bloom of Sidney, Mont., Katharine J. Faris (Adam) of Louisville, Ky., and Benjamin D. Johnston of Blacksburg, Va. He also is survived by four grandchildren.
