The American Association of Professional Farriers (AAPF) and Canadian Association of Professional Farriers (CAPF) have awarded four scholarships to attend the 2015 International Hoof-Care Summit in Cincinnati, Ohio.
The $500 scholarships were made available through the generosity of Frank K. Reilly, DVM, Equine Medical & Surgical Associates of West Chester, Pa., and Ernest Woodward APF, of Cardiff-by-the-Sea, Calif. The scholarship money can be used to pay their registration for the Summit, lodging and transportation expenses.
Recipients for the scholarships are:
- Kolby Best of Plymouth, Calif. (graduate of Pacific Coast Horseshoeing School in Plymouth, Calif.)
- David Delli Santi of Randolph, N.J. (graduate of Cornell University Farrier Program in Ithaca, N.Y.)
- Jessica Fey of Hegins, Pennsylvania (graduate of Kentucky Horseshoeing School in Richmond, Ky.)
- Frank King of Carbondale, Illinois (graduate of Midwest Horseshoeing School in Divernon, Ill.)
The honorees will be introduced to the AAPF/CAPF membership during our Annual Meeting on Feb. 4 at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Cincinnati, Ohio.
