The American and Canadian Associations of Professional Farriers (AAPF/CAPF) Board of Directors has approved plans to hold an online auction this year to benefit its new Educational Partnership program.

Proceeds from the auction will be directed towards funding of Hoofcare Essentials Clinics and other educational opportunities. In 2015, clinics are already planned for March 20 at Duggan Farrier Supplies in Ramsey, Minn.; March 28 at NC Tool in Pleasant Garden, N.C.; April 25 at Meader Supply in Rochester, N.H.; and Life Data Labs in Cherokee, Ala. on Sept. 18-20. As additional funds are raised, we will add more Hoofcare Essentials Clinics.

Donations for this year's auction may be any handmade item, service or use of a facility (condo). If you want to submit an item, please call Roy Bloom, APF, CJF at 715-739-6331 or Bryan Quinsey at 859-533-1465.

The auction will conclude at noon, Thursday, Feb. 5, 2015, at the International Hoof-Care Summit in Cincinnati. Bidding may be made online (from your home if you don't plan to attend the Summit) or at the Summit. Last year more than $4,000 was raised through this auction. AAPF/CAPF is aiming to break that record in 2015!
